During the first day of the workshop, Mr. Jalil confirmed that METCO’s vision is based on providing the latest available technologies from companies like Ciena. Throughout the workshop, the latest technologies, current networking solutions and the fundamental understanding for DWDM, Carrier Ethernet and OTN technologies were showcased. He also stated that the concept of networking with multiple capacities, high performance and the best ways to protect these networks (Network Security) would be presented and clarified.

For his part, Mr. Krikor Tutunjian, the Commercial Director at METCO Kuwait, confirmed the importance of the event to demonstrate METCO’s position as the exclusive partner (Golden) for Ciena in Kuwait. Ciena acquired the optical division from the then global optical leader, Nortel, and this has allowed Ciena to provide a unique combination of global expertise and an unlimited number of possibilities for technical solutions in the field of networking in Kuwait, equivalent to advanced services offered around the world.

At the end of his speech, Mr. Jalil reiterated the company's commitment to providing METCO’s clients with end to end telecommunications solutions, from basic infrastructure to customized applications.
